Circus

Contemporary circus pulls more emotion from me than any other live performance. The dedication to training and the lifelong commitment which often stems through generations of a family.

My focus with this work was on negative space, using it in a way that the viewer feels the precariousness position of the performers. For them to hold their breath in anticipation of a fall, miss or drop.

It was a privilege to work with the performers on this work, and to be let into this way of life.
